Nush Freedman
Terra Australia, Shipwreck Hunters
Nush Freedman has dived deeper, ventured further, and captured what most of us will never see with our own eyes, and then brought it back for the world to witness.
An underwater cinematographer, wildlife filmmaker, and conservation advocate, Nush is based on the Nyinggulu Reef and has spent her life in, on and beneath some of the most remote and wild oceans on Earth. Her camera has rolled for the BBC, Netflix, National Geographic and Disney+, contributing to some of the most celebrated natural history productions of our time — Blue Planet III, Our Planet II, Shipwreck Hunters Australia.
But Nush isn't just someone who films the ocean. She skippers boats, safety dives, guides expeditions and directs — she is as at home in the water as she is behind the lens. Equal parts adventurer and storyteller, her work is driven by one core belief: that if people could truly see what exists beneath the surface, they would do anything to protect it.
On the night, Nush will take us into the wild, the remote, and the breathtaking, and leave you seeing our ocean in a completely different light.
