Dr Glenn Moore
Curator of Fishes, WA Museum
If it swims in Western Australia, chances are Dr. Glenn Moore knows exactly what it is.
As Curator of Fishes at the WA Museum and the State's recognised authority on fish identification and taxonomy, Glenn has spent nearly 35 years uncovering what lies beneath WA's rivers, reefs and open ocean — including species no one had ever documented before. His fieldwork has taken him to some of the most remote and unexplored corners of the State, and his findings shape what we know about one of the most biodiverse fish communities on the planet. But Glenn isn't just a scientist's scientist — he's a storyteller and communicator who believes that understanding our fish life is something everyone deserves access to.
On the night, he'll bring that passion to the stage, sharing what 35 years of discovery looks like — and why what's still out there, waiting to be found, might surprise you.
