Kurt Krispyn is a marine scientist, PhD researcher, filmmaker and science communicator based in Western Australia. His research focuses on estuarine ecology, fish communities and the ecological importance of estuarine systems in south-western Australia. He is also the founder and host of Paramount Importance, a science podcast and media platform that shares long-form conversations, field-based science videos and environmental documentaries with leading scientists. Through his work, Kurt aims to make science more engaging, accessible and inspiring by connecting people with researchers, wildlife and the natural world. He believes change happens through inspiration, not instruction.
